Scott comes with a history of Southern Gospel music in his blood, most recently singing with Gold City. Austin also arrives as no stranger, recently touring with Ernie Dawson and Heirline. There could not be a greater duo to fill the shoes of prior members. Both men carry a mutual passion for the Gospel. Scott’s compelling voice along with Austin’s rich tone is a blend that will be respected and enjoyed.
Scott states, “Libbi and I have been friends a long time and it’s a great honor to not only be a part of a 50-year old rich legacy but be on stage with one of the greatest voices that has ever stepped on a Gospel stage! The future is very bright and I’m looking forward to what God has planned for me and for The Perrys!”
“I’m so excited for this new season of ministry with this legendary group!,” says Austin. “I have always dreamed of singing with the Perrys since I was a kid. The Bible says if you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart. He is faithful and has kept his promises! I can’t wait for this new chapter with the Perrys and I am looking forward to meeting you at a concert real soon!”
Scott’s first date with The Perrys will be August 6th. Austin has been traveling with the group in recent weeks.
