The highly anticipated event was hosted by mother/daughter Gospel duo, Margie and Robin Tanner of Expectation Ministries. Highlighting the evening were performances by several artists including some of this year’s top ten nominees: Mike Leichner, Dixie Revival, Roger Barkley, Jr., The Cupps, and others.
Awards recipients made their way to the stage as winners were announced from 31 categories. This year, The Freemans took home ‘Favorite Southern Gospel Group’ and ‘Favorite Song’ (God Walks In) while rising Southern Gospel artist Melissa Evans walked away with ‘Favorite Southern Gospel Soloist’ and ‘Favorite Female Vocalist.’ For the third consecutive year, Mitchell Whisnant won ‘Favorite Musician.’
