Sandi Patty Reveals She Has Recovered from Coronavirus

Sandi Patty took to Facebook when she was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 16. She warned her followers that this virus is not a disease to take lightly and told them to be careful to follow the CDC's guidelines.
But now Patty has recovered from the respiratory illness and says she is happy to be feeling better.
She tells Rob Stewart in an interview for Rob on the Road that she was one of the first in Oklahoma to test positive for COVID-19. As she shared previously, she started feeling unwell shortly after returning from traveling. She tells Stewart she actually felt relieved when the coronavirus test came back positive since it reinforced how she was feeling physically.
"Because it was like, 'OK, I'm not making this up. I do feel as bad as I do,'" she says. "And we wanted to be a voice to say, 'Let's take this seriously. Let's stay home. Let's wash our hands for two "Happy Birthday" songs. Let's do all of the wise, wise things that must be done in a time like this.'"
Patty says that, as a singer, she was scared dealing with COVID-19, though not for her life. With the heavy cough the sickness gave her, she was concerned about harming her vocal cords.
