The Fosters are back with a refreshed classic featuring family harmony and a brass section with crunch! Come to church with Andrew, Devi, and the kids as they deliver a heartfelt vocal performance of a heavenly anthem, longing for the day when we see Jesus face to face!
Written by Joan Ewing in 1978 and frequently performed by her husband, Rev. Murrell Ewing, “What’s That I Hear?” was recorded by several legendary Southern Gospel groups in the 1980s. The Fosters return this heavenly daydream to its Pentecostal roots, backed by a real brass section that soars above a Sunday morning gospel band.
The release of this single marks a new chapter for The Fosters, known for powerful duet vocals and now featuring their three children to create classic family harmony. As they write and release new music as a family, The Fosters remain committed to music with timeless melodies, excellent production values, and an uncompromising message of the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“What’s That I Hear?” is now ready to spin at radio nationwide and will be available on all digital and streaming platforms on May 1st, 2026.
