I’ve had the privilege of singing on some of the biggest stages and standing before influential and powerful people, but none of those moments compare to knowing Him. The applause fades, accomplishments pass, and recognition is fleeting, but Jesus remains.
More than anything, I don’t want to be remembered for what I accomplished or where I stood. I want to be known as someone whose life was centered on Jesus—someone who loved Him, followed Him, and found his purpose in Him. He is my why. He is the reason I live, move, and have my being.
Without Him, I would never have made it through the seasons of grief, heartbreak, and loss. And without Him at the center, even my greatest successes would have felt empty and meaningless. Every blessing, every opportunity, every victory only has significance because of Him.
It reminds me of Paul’s words in Philippians 3:7–8:
*“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ.
